Justin of the Detroit Youth Energy Squad writes: Good to hear from you, Deanne.  I spent two years in Eugene at the Outdoor High School teaching field science and leading conservation projects -- it's a beautiful place to play and work.
Let me know if you have any questions about the position.

Justin

The Detroit Youth Energy Squad is a relatively new program that trains high school students to perform basic energy-efficient retrofits for lower income families.  In our pilot program this spring, 24 youth and 12 adults have completed 15 hours of training and are on pace to retrofit about 55 homes by mid-June.  Please see the program overview for more information.

We are expanding to a full-time program this summer and are looking for a dynamic educator who can use the context of household energy efficiency to develop and facilitate high-quality academic enrichment activities.  The job description is attached; please share this with friends who would be a good fit for the position.

best,
Justin
