     "Enchanting Spaces" Sustainability Weekend

September 13 & 14, 2008     Join us 10 am to 4 pm, or stay the evening & overnight.

It's a joy to put that extra creativity into shaping a space, whether it is interior or exterior.  This weekend will be an opportunity to interact with, and help create a number of spaces, and explore sustainability in a number of ways. Located on 50 acres of rural wooded land 1 hour north of Detroit, Michigan, USA, this is a lovely place to spend some time!

We will be doing some plastering and sculpting on current projects, where you will learn to apply both base & finish plasters.

As we finish the exterior around the Kid's Cottage we will be exploring how to help connect the indoor and outdoor space, enhancing the enjoyment of the children who will play in and around this structure. You will take part in transforming this space with natural materials. You can also be part of our garden sculpting, using fieldstone to transform conventional retangular beds to an organic and curving shape.  Weaving around these events will be a demonstration of fermenting, food drying & solar cooking!
