All sorts of garden trellises can be constructed from local natural materials: twig tipis, trellises, and more.
Make structures for for home gardening this year !
Enjoy
- being on the land
- touring the natural buildings
- seeing examples of lashed round pole structures (log loft, spiral chamber, bird feeding stand)
- foraging materials (collecting round poles from the land or using the ones already harvested)
- learning how to cord and do "lashing" using local fibers. (purchased twine & wire will also be used)
. . . then take home the structures you create!
Location: At the Strawbale Studio land, outside Oxford Michigan (1 hour north of Detroit) on wooded rural acres. The main house has all the amenities. You will also see the enchanting Strawbale Studio as well as other small natural building structures: The Spiral Chamber, The Kid's Cottage, a rocket stove heated bench, earth oven, solar oven, worm composting, and more.
Fee: $25 ($5 Discounts for pre-payment or "bring-a-friend")
