Phone Conversation: Jared and Deanne.  3/30/08

Jared: Our parents worked all the time, so we were raised by the trv and we got neurotic behaviors, emotional problems. Our parents took us to the doctor who put us on prosac, just 1 molecule away from meth.  I know so many people on Paxel. You put people on amphetamines, and they can't get over it.  And when we grow up we are not taught to question authority, the doctors.  I see friends whose lives are ruined by these drugs because our parents didn't want to raise us.  I studied these pills, I was taking clinical biology, and they didn't even do what they were supposed to do.  The science wasn't there when I looked.  I got really sad and disillusioned with that.

My parents admit they are trapped, they are prisoners.  I have my parents on my side now.  I'm lucky.  Most people are true believers.

Deanne:  When things became "industrialized" and products began to be manufactured, when we began to buy products instead of making what we needed, then, we needed to get money. So we went to the factories and stores, and business to work to get money for the industrially - made products.  So now we buy things and leave home to get the money to do that.  And now we are separated from nature, from our lives, and separated from our children.

So you and I will go on, doing what we think connects us to Life, that which is regenerative, and sustainable, and which helps people be both creative and community-oriented. And we will continue to be reflective, and help others to wake up, and see that the computer and video games are virtual, not real.
