Natural Building for Kids

June 22, 2008    Sunday, 1 - 4 pm

Family Day, fun for all ages! Children with supervising adult(s) are welcome.  This is an engaging activity  for young & old.

Tour the enchanting Strawbale Studio, see the Kid's Cottage under construction & build your own earthen model to take home! 

In this workshop you will

• learn to identify the kind of earth with which you can build, and where to find it
• mix (stomp) the earthen mix on a tarp with your bare feet (play in the mud)
• if you prefer, mix it with your shoes on (not quite as much fun, but still pretty cool)
• collect and use natural materials (from the land here) to add into your model/sculpture
• take home your model, watch it dry, and dream about how you might make it a reality some day!

• $20 per person by June 1,  Family rate by June 1, $50
