Permaculture, Plants and Plasters... Earthcraft for a Restorative Life.

Saturday, October 9 from 11am till 6:30

$45 if prepaid by October 2nd; after that $65 (ask about discounts for families and groups)

Through the lenses of permaculture, natural building and herbalism, Jared Bogdanov-Hanna, Deanne Bednar & jim mcdonald (me) will be offering a day of teachings focusing on living in relationship with the land you walk upon.

The Permaculture Institute defines permaculture as "an ecological design system for sustainability in all aspects of human endeavor. It teaches us how build natural homes, grow our own food, restore diminished landscapes and ecosystems, catch rainwater, build communities and much more."  What we'll be doing with our time together is to explore different habitats - lawns, meadows and woods, and seeing them through the complimentary perspectives of each of the presenters... what resources are there?  How can we build on potentials?  What can we harvest and how can we give back?

Within these ecosystems, we'll be looking at how plants provide food, restore habitats (and yes, even some of the "invasive" ones), and offer medicine.

Rather than offering separate presentations, all three of us will be contributing together to demonstrate how permaculture, herbalism, and natural building all find their foundation in the interdependence

Location: On wooded rural land at the Strawbale Studio land.
