Dear Deanne,
Last weekend I wrote you about a campaign we are doing this month to
get more organizations to post their jobs on Idealist, and the results
this week have been amazing.
Usually we get about 50 new organizations and 200 job postings every
day. So far this week, we have 700 new orgs and 4,000 jobs!
As a result, there are now more than 10,000 jobs on Idealist, at every
level and in every field.
If you know anyone who is looking for a job in the nonprofit sector,
now is the time to invite them to Idealist. Here are a few more
details for individuals and organizations:
* What Individuals Should Know:
- People can search and browse through the listings on Idealist, and
they can also sign up for Email Alerts and/or RSS feeds with new
listings matching their interests and location.
- The nonprofit world can be mystifying for those who are new to it,
so to help in the job-hunting process, our staff has written two free
books that you can read or download here:
http://www.idealist.org/en/career/guide/index.html
* What Organizations Should Know
- To post on Idealist, just go to http://www.idealist.org and click on
Post .
- Posting a job on Idealist usually costs $60 (we are a nonprofit
ourselves, and this small fee keeps us afloat) but through the end of
June all job postings on Idealist are free for any nonprofit
organization.
- Here is a video that describes why Idealist is the best place to
post a nonprofit job: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-BQYIPILUU
- To help Human Resources managers in their daily work, our staff has
put together a huge HR Resource Center here: http://www.idealist.org/hrp
I hope that some or all of this is useful to you. Thanks in advance
for sharing it with friends, colleagues, and other networks.
This week has been wonderful because so many of you reached out to
others, and for this we owe you a big THANK YOU!
Have a good week!
