Landscape Artist and Sculptor, Tom Hoyt, is moving around the big bolders in a recessed area on the south side of the main house. The ground is low, like a big bowl. This area used to be a large mound of field stone rocks, which were used to fill the rubble trench and build the stem wall of the Strawbale Studio. All the smaller rocks were used up for this purpose, leaving a pit with huge bolders. Tom has set in stone steps down into the "kiva" and is moving rocks into a large circle where folks can sit around a fire.
