Report from the Bioneers Detroit Conference re: Detroit Open Green Map.

Several steps were taken at the Bioneers Detroit Conference toward the Green Map process:

Friday October 16, 2009 a formal meeting was held from 9:30 - 11:30 with founding director of the Green Map System and an initial group of folks from Wayne, Monroe and Oakland County to explore our potential relationships with an evolving Open Source Green Map for

Detroit and this region of Michigan.

Friday through Sunday, an exhibit table was set up with information about the mapping process, and Wendy "personed" the table on Friday. Many folks signed up during the weekend, indicating their interest in helping to further this process.

An informal meeting was held at the Bioneers Detroit Friday reception in the Art Gallery at Marygrove College, for folks to meet with Wendy Brawer who was in town from New York City (raised in the Detroit area) to assist Detroit in the map-making process.  "The world is watching Detroit", she reports from her travels around the world with the Green Map process. Below is a pic of a few folks at that gathering.
