Earth Plaster Class 

Learn to use beautiful Earth Plaster on your existing walls or natural building home. Find materials, mix, apply. Taught by Deanne Bednar, illustrator of the Natural Plaster Book.  Includes a tour of natural buildings and plaster & benches added in an existing home. Bring your own bag lunch. Pre-registration required. Scholarships available   RSVP & Registration   

 

  Sixth Annual Farmgirl Revival at "Yule Love It" Lavendar Farm, Leonard, MI

 Four farmgirls return to laugh and share the skills and art they inherited from women who lived the “use what you have” farm lifestyle. Come continue the legacy. Dress for the outdoors and bring a blanket. The Gift Shoppe will be open. Deanne from the Strawbale Studio will be presenting on Hay Cookers, Solar Oven & Dry CompostingToilets.

Round Pole Construction "FIOT" *

Numerous structures on the land have used round pole framing: the Strawbale Studio, Kids' Cottage, Wood Shelter, Spiral Chamber.  In this workshop techniques will be shared and using the inquiry method, we will build on our collective knowledge to construct a small pole structure.  Includes harvesting poles from the woods & touring the buildings with an eye to framing,  Bring your own bag lunch and a battery drill and sharp saw if you have one.. Pre-registration required.
