Garrett S     2013:

Hello there! Sorry it is taking me so long to get back to you once again. I finally realized I may never put together a good synopsis of my trip at the strawbale studio, but I feel that is no reason for me to drop out of communication. I really enjoyed the time spent, the things learned, and meeting you. I wish I could show you everything that has happened since then and a good brief picture. However that is easier wished upon them achieve. I just purchased 10 acres barn and cabin next-door to the 14 that I previously had. And work has begun on finishing this cabin. The foundation does not look so good, and the inside is still yet unfinished. I've been working away trying to build a glass studio, and the new building will be set up tomorrow morning.

So in old friend of my mothers, the one who introduced her and my father, is the building inspector in the area. He says that he is willing to work with anything we can dream up with, as long as it will fit the local codes. He said that he will work with us to make sure that however strange the building may be, it can pass inspection as per what codes say. I see this is a fantastic opportunity to open up this property to building projects for people who want to build in a code restricted area. He is definitely an old hippie, and I think that this could be a good start to changing laws in the region by setting example.

I hope things are well with you. It's been a while since we last spoke. I will have some pictures to Santillo and perhaps some more information as soon as my major construction is finished. Chris in Ohio had gotten a hold of me sometime ago via email, although I have not returned with a phone call. I hope your current planned workshops go well. I would love to hear from you soon Deanne!
